The principal of Dunaire Elementary, Dr. Sean Deas, expressed enthusiasm about sharing resources, emphasizing the importance of giving back and fostering relationships in education. He highlighted those resources, such as C50, are most effective when placed in the hands of those who can utilize them, rather than being left unused. He also underscored the significance of collaboration and clear expectations among educational leaders, as these foster understanding and strengthen relationships. His institution is actively ensuring that donated items reach those who can build upon them, reinforcing the idea that education is about developing future leaders who understand the impact of collective efforts. He thanked TCG for the opportunity mot only to give now, but also what they can continue to do to collaborate and improve more lives. Ms. Simmonds Caphart of the Teacher Consultant Group Inc. echoed this enthusiasm, emphasizing the value of the collaboration. She highlighted a concerning statistic, that only 2% of girls graduate high school in Gbarpolu County. Viewing the situation as urgent, she explained that her organization is working to make the classrooms inviting as well as training teachers to improve educational opportunities.
